Discrimination at school

Our High School has a new policy
for all Sports Manager. Only girl managers
for girls teams, boys for boys teams...
Is this legal???
What if my daughter wanted to football, wouldn't
the school have to let her???
They went to this policy because of something
that happened a couple of years ago with a
male coach and female student. Both are gone
now.
I feel this is wrong...
Also, can a school district refuse a child
lunch because he/she has an unpaid balance
on their account???
Just curious in WY....
