: I retained a lawyer in August '10 for a sexual discrimination case against my employer.  She has been putting me off for 5 months now.  I have asked her repeatedly to get going on my case but she has kept me on the backburner.  I am afraid the statue of limitations is going to run out before she does anything.  Besides the fact that I had to change jobs and am making about half my original salary.  She knows I am hurting financially but won't get moving.  How long do I have to file and what are my options otherwise.  I am afraid waiting so long is hurting my case.  Am I right??
