: : : My company clearly states in their Employee Handbook that if someone is offered a supervisory position and this will make them the director Supervisor to a family member either the employee will be transfered or the promotion can not be accepted. I have work in environments that had Nepotism issues in the past and I feel extremely uncomfortable. If I chose to leave the job based on thses facts would I be eligible for unemployment or could the company fight my claim

: I was recruited 2 years ago from another title company. Upon joining the company I found that the manager was the sister of a co-worker. The environment became hostile. so the manager tranferred to another department. A couple of months later the brother was named the department manager. Several months later the brother (manager) brought his sister back into the department. To make room for her I was laid off. Does this constitute nepotism and do I have any recourse?
