I quit my job because of Hostile work enviroment

I quit my job at a Dental Office, my boss threw instruments, a scaler flew by my head. used profanity regularly, F---. Ram-sacked his own office, trying to find something. He had a real problem with controlling his anger. I filed for unemployment. I have received over 3500.00. He is fighting this and we have a hearing next week, if I lose I have to pay back all this money. Do I have any chance in winning this. I went to him and let him know how upset he made me, he said he would try to control his temper. That lasted about 2 wks. I went to the Office Manager on several occasions nothing changed. It started effecting my health, axiety attacks, diaherria, headaches, etc. Any input on this?
