: My husband and I were having some marital problems and he cheated on me with a co-worker of his.  He is the manager of a tire store and she was a secretary at the time of the incident.  She has since then been promoted to Assistant Manager.  My husband told this employee that it could not happen again because he was working things out with me.  Now the woman is calling the owner of the company and making up all kinds of lies to try and get him fired.  My husband believes she's doing this b/c he wont be with her.  What should he do? Tell the owner what happened between them? If he does, could he be fired since he is the mngr and she was secretary at the time?  We don't know what to do here and would appreciate any advice you can give.
