I have a situation that I'm fed up with. I work at an indian casino as a supervisor of table games. The first 3 weeks I was there I told a friend of mine that I wasnt very happy because of the favortism in the room by the manager. She told HR who called me into talk about it. My manager found out that I talked to HR and got very upset with me for "going behind his back". I got hurt at work and they arent paying for it which is a totally different situation. My manager wrote me after I got hurt for "failure to follow polices and procedures" 60 ays after first being confronted with it. When I asked what I failed to follow.. he told me that I had broken chain of command by going to HR. He extended my probation time by 30 days. (one week before my 90days was to be done) He also told me in no uncertain terms that HE hires and fires. He continues to call me by the wrong name. He belittles and insults many of the dealers. Im afraid to go BACK to HR in fear of losing my job. Im good at my job and none of the writeups that have recently been bestowed on me has had to do with job performance. what constitutes hostile work place enviroment?
